Jen is a compassionate and dedicated therapist who respects her clients.
Jen collaborates with individuals to create personalized treatment plans that equip them with the tools needed to thrive. She is committed to helping clients navigate emotions, find the root causes of symptoms, and achieve their goals.
With an eclectic range of resources, Jen uses an integrative approach that combines techniques like CBT, Polyvagal Theory, Somatic practices, and EMDR. Whether you’re new to these concepts or a seasoned clinician, Jen can help. She specializes in treating anxiety, managing an overactive nervous system, and processing past traumas. Jen has the capacity and ability to hold space for heavy topics, and when appropriate, she can balance a session with safety and humor.
Your needs matter, so Jen’s office is designed to be a comforting space equipped with fidgets, soothing sensory inputs, EMDR pulsators, and a customizable light bar. She also offers virtual counseling sessions on Telehealth Tuesdays.
With extensive professional and lived experience, Jen has a secondary specialization supporting neurodivergent adults and individuals in the creative, corporate, and tech sectors. As a licensed mental health counselor, Jen has in-depth trauma training and a personal experience that underscored the effectiveness of EMDR. She trained with Deany Laliotis through an EMDRIA-approved program and is pursuing EMDRIA Certification for advanced training in this evidence-based modality. Her expertise includes consultation with EMDR experts nationwide, focusing on treating complex trauma, attachment wounds, and most recently, comorbid OCD.
Jen also held certifications as a Grief Counseling Specialist, an Autism-Informed Professional, a professional coach, and a yoga teacher. Yes, she likes learning “all the things” because that is the core of neurodivergent-affirming therapy. She continues to learn from and for her clients
