Lauren is an empathic and authentic therapist who creates a safe space for clients to process their thoughts and emotions without shame or judgement. Her approach includes demonstrating support of the client’s concerns while offering accountability in order to progress towards treatment goals. Her specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma, relational difficulties, stress, and self-esteem. Lauren enjoys working with individuals who may have experienced traumatic events, mood complications, and other everyday stressors as she acknowledges the courage and bravery required to seek help. With experience in various settings such as residential support services, intensive outpatient programs, and mental health counseling, she recognizes the strength and inherent worth of each person and strives to help them feel valued as such.

She understands that life transitions, whether expected or unexpected, can bring about certain emotions and reactions which can be difficult to navigate alone. Her goal is to help clients build a toolkit of coping skills and healthy methods for managing their symptoms so they are equipped to face these challenges. While everyday life events can leave us feeling a wide range of emotions on a daily basis, Lauren considers the long-lasting effects that trauma may have on an individual. With both patience and humility, she collaborates with the client to establish a trusting relationship throughout the therapeutic process.

Lauren utilizes aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Gottman Method, and trauma-informed care in her work with children, teens, and adults. Lauren values each client as unique, capable, and worthy, considering it a privilege to partner with others as they encounter the highs and lows of life.
